Partnering with
The Hunger Games

Hunger isn't as far away as you might think -- often, it's just around the corner. The Hunger Games movie, the World Food Programme and Feeding America are joining forces to fight hunger. By teaming up, we can build a better future for hungry children and families all over the world. Are you in?

Freerice Spotlight

Barbara's Take on Hunger We wanted to take a minute and give a special thanks to Barbara -- a girl from Brazil who recently submitted a video telling us why she's committed to Freerice and the fight against hunger. As she points out, one girl might not be able to make a difference, but if we all join together we can rice-up against hunger and feed people in need! Watch her video here.

Your Freerice Questions Answered

Where does Freerice buy its rice?
Freerice and the World Food Programme focus on both feeding hungry people and creating a sustainable solution to hunger. Because of this, we try to buy rice "at the source." For the past several months, all rice earned has been going to Cambodia where we purchase it from local farmers, helping to both support the economy and reduce transportation costs. 100% of the rice earned goes to feeding people through WFP. Learn more about hunger in Cambodia and WFP's work there.
